David Elder
David Elder is thrilled to be joining Neil Berg and the 100 Years of Broadway family. His Broadway credits include: "Curtains" (Bobby Pepper), "42nd Street" (Billy Lawlor, Outer Critics and Astaire Award Noms.), "Kiss Me Kate" (Bill Calhoun/Lucentio), "Titanic" (Fleet/The Lookout), "Once Upon a Mattress" (Sir Harry) with Sarah Jessica Parker, "Damn Yankees" (Bomber) with Jerry Lewis, "Beauty and the Beast" (Orig. Salt Shaker/Beast understudy), and "Guys and Dolls" (Guy/Crapshoot specialty, Broadway debut) with Nathan Lane. David most recently played the role of Phil Davis (made famous by Danny Kaye) in the National Tour of Irving Berlin's White Christmas. In addition to the above credits, he includes playing Joe Hardy in the first national tour of "Damn Yankees" opposite Jerry Lewis and performing the role of tapping Timothy Harper in "Strike Up The Band" for City Centers� Encores Series opposite Kristin Chenoweth, as standouts in his career. He has also performed alongside Kristin Chenoweth for her many concert appearances including The Met and Carnegie Hall. A few of his favorite regional memories include: "Singing in the Rain" (Don Lockwood, Goodspeed Opera House), "Windy City" (Hildy Johnson, Walnut Street Theater), and "Crazy For You" (Bobby Child, Stages St. Louis, Kevin Kline Award). TV/Film: Across the Universe, Jeffrey, Cradle Will Rock, and Guiding Light. David sings on the original cast recordings of "42nd Street," "Titanic," "Once Upon a Mattress," "Beauty and the Beast," and "Guys and Dolls". He hales from Houston, TX where he studied Voice Performance at the University of Houston and currently resides in NYC.
