Ron Bohmer
In a career spanning over twenty years in Broadway productions, national tours and with symphony orchestras, Ron Bohmer has starred as the Phantom in The Phantom Of The Opera, Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard (Jefferson Award nomination), Alex in Aspects Of Love (LA Robby award), Enjolras in Les Miserables, Fyedka in Fiddler on the Roof, as Coach Bolton in the cultural phenomenon Disney's High School Musical, Sir Percival Glyde in The Woman in White, and as the title role in The Scarlet Pimpernel (National Broadway Theatre Award nomination). His most recent Broadway roles include Father in the Tony nominated revival of Ragtime and Frid in the Tony nominated revival of A Little Night Music with Bernadette Peters and Elaine Stritch.
Off-Broadway roles include many ridiculous characters in New York's long-running comedy hit Forbidden Broadway (Drama Desk award), the 10th anniversary cast of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change and most recently, El Gallo in the world's longest-running musical The Fantasticks.
Regional starring roles include Dr. Givings in the sold-out In the Next Room or The Vibrator Play for the Rep of St. Louis, the title role in Floyd Collins at Actors Theatre of Louisville, Volodya in Bed & Sofa at the Wilma Theatre in Philadelphia (Best Actor nomination - Barrymore Award), the title role in the U.S. premiere of Dracula - a Chamber Musical at NSMT, and El Gallo in The Fantasticks for the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (Acclaim Award, Best Actor). Most recently, he starred as George in Sunday in the Park With George for the Rep of St. Louis (Louie Award - Best Actor), Phileas Fogg in Around the World in 80 Days for the Pittsburgh Public Theatre and as himself in Buck's County's Grand-opening production A Grand Night for Singing, directed by Lonny Price.
On television, Ron has guest-starred on Law & Order SVU, Rescue Me, Ryan's Hope, One Life to Live, and As The World Turns.
Recordings include two solo albums, Everyman - the Broadway Album and another life, and the cast recordings of The Thing About Men, Forbidden Broadway-S.V.U., Broadway by the Year-1929, Broadway Unplugged 2, and Songs from RAGTIME (original 2009 cast).
Recognized for his range and versatility as a concert soloist, Ron has appeared at Radio City Music Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, New York City's Town Hall and he is a frequent guest artist with conductors, symphonies and pops orchestras across the US and Canada. Recent and upcoming symphony performances include Broadway Rocks! (Eric Kunzel conducting), Oh what a Night!, Today's Broadway and The Best Is Yet To Come: The Music of Frank Sinatra (with Montego Glover, Steven Reineke conducting), Mancini and Moonlight and A Broadway Valentine (Buffalo Philharmonic), Rock On! Broadway and A Rodgers and Hammerstein Celebration (The Florida Orchestra, Stuart Molina conducting), The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber (Kennedy Center, Eddie Robinson conducting), Three Phantoms In Concert (throughout the US and Asia), The Jersey Boys Sound (Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra), Christmas with the Symphony! (Omaha Symphony, Earnest Richardson conducting) and Bond and Beyond: The Music of 007 (John Morris Russell conducting).
