www.grumpyoldmenthemusical.com
Composer: Neil Berg
Author: Dan Remmes
Lyricist: Nick Meglin
Director: Glen Casale
Grumpy Old Men is
the story of two aging men, Max and John, neighbors,
who have been feuding for most of their lives. They
are re-united in friendship through the love and
compassion of their new neighbor across the street,
the beautiful, eccentric, and charming Ariel. The
1993 film, which starred Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau,
and Ann-Margret was presented by Warner Bros., and
written by Mark Steven Johnson (Grumpier
Old Men, Daredevil,
Simon Birch,
Ghostrider). It proved
itself popular enough with the public to warrant
a sequel, Grumpier Old Men
(1995), which added Sophia Loren to the celebrated
cast.
LATEST NEWS: GRUMPY OLD MEN played in Fall 2011 at the Royal Manitoba Theater Center in Winnipeg, Canada. The production starred Conrad John Schuck (MASH, McMillan & Wife, Star Trek), John Rubenstein (Pippin, Children of a Lesser God), and Susan Anton (The Will Rogers Follies, Radio City Music Hall Spectacular at the Flamingo Hilton, Baywatch). Grumpy Old Men has been picked up by AWA Touring, the touring arm of Alan Wasser Associates, which is looking to begin touring the show next season. www.awatouring.com. |

Hexed in the City
Music by Neil Berg
Book by Tom Mills
Lyrics by Neil Berg & Tom Mills
Great romances and great musicals go hand-in-hand:
Boy meets Girl, Boy loves Girl, Boy loses Girl,
antics ensue and a big, emotional, happy (sometimes)
ending follows. But what if the Girl is actually
a Witch? That means the age-old story gets turned
inside out and upside down! Witches aren't permitted
to love and Boy doesn't even like Girl. The only
sure thing is that antics definitely ensue. It's
love versus magic and all bets are off.
