Dear Friends, Family, Colleagues, FB friends and Fans,
I have been asked to co-chair a committee, along with my friends Frank Wildhorn (Composer), Stephanie J. Block (Broadway Star), and Capathia Jenkins (Broadway Star), for a new type of fundraising event for Covenant House International. It is called Sleep Out: Broadway Edition, and on August 17th, we, along with many others in the NY Theater Community, will be spending an entire night sleeping on the streets of NYC to raise money and awareness for Covenant House's mission. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have also joined us as honorary chairs.
It's very simple how you can help. Each person sleeping out is reaching out to their friends, family, FB friends and support system to sponsor them to sleep out. It can be as much or as little as you can give. Every dollar helps, and is greatly appreciated. Just go to the link below, and donate.
I have been involved with many wonderful organizations, all worthy of support, but Covenant House is especially near and dear to my heart. The kids I have met are incredible, their strength and perseverance in the face of hardship is nothing short of inspiring. I am honored to be able to work with this organization, and ask you all to give whatever you can.
